Paisley Tunic - Burda 4/09 #121
I was able to finish up the tunic. Not a hard pattern and it turned out pretty nice considering the properties of the fabric. Here she is, actually wearing it:
I finished the sleeves the same way I finished the neckline, by placing the right side of the facing to the wrong side of the fabric and then turning to the outside when the stitching is done. It looks nice on both the inside and outside:
Up next: the butterfly skirt, this one should be easy too. Thankfully, it seems all her stuff is easy this year!
Parting Shot: Cheese. Paneer, to be exact. We made it today, and it really is very easy. We used Aarti's recipe from her Food Network show. Now to make it into dinner!

Lovely tunic. She looks adorable AND very pleased with it!
That came out looking great. She looks good in it.
What a gorgeous young lady and a great tunic as well!
Thank you so much for yesterday's post about starching the fabric! I have been wanting to make a shirt out of some that I have, but have been *dreading* cutting out that slippery stuff. This morning I got it all starched before work and I hope to have a new blouse to wear by next week. Thank you so much!
Cute top! You have a lot of really cute back to school things.
Neat about the cheese. We've made some over the years, but I much prefer to buy it! It's a good experience for the kids though.
Thanks for the paneer link - I've had a hankering for palak (spinach) paneer for ages now.
I love the fabric and the top looks wonderful on her.
I saw that Aarti episode too and was going to try making that cheese. I'll be interested in hearing how you like it.
Everytime you show another picture of your daughter I'm amazed all over again by how grown she is and how beautiful! The tunic is very pretty too!
Your daughter looks so happy and beautiful in her tunic. Congratulations.
Beautiful result from a challenging fabric. DD is clearly quite pleased with Mom's efforts.
I will have to look up this recipe. I love making cheese but its been a while. It looks wonderful.Where are those Triscuits?
The tunic looks rich and exclusive. The finish is perfect as always.
