The Fur Jacket, Part Three
And Now for a Lining
I intended to cut out the lining Thursday evening, but looked at the pieces I had pulled out and none of them, even in combination was enough for a lining. I went back to the collection and found another piece, a nice burgundy satin. It is burgundy on one side and gold on the other. I thought that would work nicely, as it has a rich look to it.
Friday, then, was the day I got the lining cut out and assembled. I had a little time on Saturday to sew, so I got the lining stalled.
That leaves me with finishing the hems and sewing on the snaps today. I picked up the remainder snaps between coaching and the gym, after discovering I only had three, and needed five. The sleeves are waiting now for their hems, and with any luck, I'll be sewing on snaps this afternoon after I pick up the children.
Tomorrow, I should be able to show you the finished jacket!
Parting Shot: Almost Done. I'm almost done with the hood, too. It is further along than in this photo, as the knitting part is done, and I'll be blocking it later today.

That is one gorgeous jacket! I've been wanting to make something in fake fur and have been looking at patterns. I'll have to pull out that issue of Burda!
Acho incrível como você consegue ser produtiva, o casaco está ficando muito bonito.
Parabéns
