The Fur Jacket, Completed

The fur jacket is now done, as I had enough time yesterday to finish all the hems and get all the snaps sewn on.  Here's a close-up of the snaps:

This coat, despite being one of the thinner faux furs I've ever sewn with, is very warm!

I'm very happy with this one - it is simple, yet versatile and stylish.

The collar can be drawn up around the neck, too, but I'm not sure if I'd ever *need* to do this.  I think I'd need a heavier coat in that case.

Next up:  another casual jacket, I think.  I'm not sure yet, I have to rethink my plans, the fabric is a bit more stretchy and drapey than I thought.

Parting Shot:  Hood.  Done.  Last evening I was able to get my work space set up to block the knitted hood.  Right now, I'm sharing my table with my daughter who is almost done with her block carving piece, so a little cleaning up was in order.  At any rate, the blocking is done and now I can wear it!  Good thing, we're getting more snow tomorrow.  Hood up, hood down:

Lovely jacket. Love the pop of colour in the lining. The hood looks great. Sort of takes care of both hat and scarf needs?

I love the jacket! It looks great on you. I think sometimes fur can overwhelm a petite figure, but that's not the case here.

It's beautiful! You've inspired me to make a fur vest (don't have enough for a jacket). I just finished tracing off this pattern and the fur is in the dryer on "air fluff".

I'm also in awe of your knitting skills. I can knit but I can't purl, sigh.

That's a great jacket! I could use a hood like that when I go on my walks. Maybe I can make one from fleece.
