The Fur Jacket, Completed
The fur jacket is now done, as I had enough time yesterday to finish all the hems and get all the snaps sewn on. Here's a close-up of the snaps:
This coat, despite being one of the thinner faux furs I've ever sewn with, is very warm!
I'm very happy with this one - it is simple, yet versatile and stylish.
The collar can be drawn up around the neck, too, but I'm not sure if I'd ever *need* to do this. I think I'd need a heavier coat in that case.
Next up: another casual jacket, I think. I'm not sure yet, I have to rethink my plans, the fabric is a bit more stretchy and drapey than I thought.
Parting Shot: Hood. Done. Last evening I was able to get my work space set up to block the knitted hood. Right now, I'm sharing my table with my daughter who is almost done with her block carving piece, so a little cleaning up was in order. At any rate, the blocking is done and now I can wear it! Good thing, we're getting more snow tomorrow. Hood up, hood down:

Beautiful fur jacket and it looks awesome on you.
The fur jacket looks great, hope mine turns out even half as good!
Lovely jacket. Love the pop of colour in the lining. The hood looks great. Sort of takes care of both hat and scarf needs?
I love the jacket! It looks great on you. I think sometimes fur can overwhelm a petite figure, but that's not the case here.
Lovely jacket and lovely hood! Nice work!
Wow! The jacket and hood look great.
Great jacket! It looks like it cost a fortune. ;-)
Beautiful jacket! It looks great on you!
Wow I love the jacket on you
Love the pop of red in the lining. Very you :))
I like the jacket, too. But I really love that hood! The edges are very pretty.
Love how the jacket turned out - and the hood looks really nice on you.

Wow neat hood and fabulous jacket! I envy you. Not only are you prolific, but you never seem to have a wadder
Stunning results, stunning work, and so "you." Well done!
It's beautiful! You've inspired me to make a fur vest (don't have enough for a jacket). I just finished tracing off this pattern and the fur is in the dryer on "air fluff".
I'm also in awe of your knitting skills. I can knit but I can't purl, sigh.
That's a great jacket! I could use a hood like that when I go on my walks. Maybe I can make one from fleece.
very cute jacket!
The jacket looks great on you! I think you will get a lot of wear from this and it surely was time well invested. Love the hood, really cute!
Your coat is just marvelous! As I go from blog to blog looking at all the garments created from fur I am just amazed at the creativity displayed. Yours is no different. I just love this and all of the wonderful details that make it so marvelous!
GORGEOUS!!! Bravo Summerset!
