More Christmas Gifts This Week!

While quilting on FGTDD, I plan to work on an outfit for my daughter for Christmas.  I'll be making another Burda turtle and a skirt.  I bought the purple flocked denim this summer from Fabricmart, and then discovered that I had a perfectly matching purple rayon knit in my collection.
I'll be using this pattern, Simplicity 3754, which I've used for my daughter already, so I already know what the alterations are.

So far, I've got the turtle cut out, and hope to get the skirt cut this evening.  Other than that, it is back to the quilting. I'm partway through the second gusset and should finish tomorrow.

Parting Shot:  More Christmas.  We've actually started buying Christmas gifts early this year!  It is a miracle, but I'm actually hoping to have everything done and wrapped early.  December is very busy with all the various concerts that all of us are involved in, so it would be nice to one thing done!

You are inspiring me to get moving on the Christmas presents - at least thinking of them. However, with no children in the house, this is not quite the gargantuan task that it was. I'm not sure whether the buying/making of gifts or the hiding of them was the worst.

I hope your son doesn't read your blog! I remember when my son was that age.(He is 21). We found an ad for a whole box full of Star Wars Lego for £50. there were quite a few large sets including that one. it is interesting to see them reissue those sets again.

He used to save his pocket money for weeks to buy a huge pirate ship or something like that.

I love the flocked denim. your daughter will be the envy of her friends!
