Finished!
Sorry, no pictures of me wearing it. I will post one on Thursday, as I plan to wear the outfit on Wednesday. It might look a bit long compared to the other versions that others have made, and it is actually between the length of the shorter version and longer version, but with all the details (top stitching!) of the shorter one.
I added the belt loops, although I'm not sure why. I rarely wear a belt or things tucked in for that matter. Belts at the waist do not always help the short waisted figure.
Burda only had one button on the waistband, but the waistband is wide, so I used two buttons instead. The motif on the buttons works nicely with the facing fabric.
I'm really happy with the skirt - it turned out very well, I was able to try out a new technique, and is the perfect color boost for the middle of winter. Tomorrow I will get those trousers cut out and started!Parting Shot: Another Scarf. I've completed another scarf, this one is for my son. The yarn is a washable acrylic blend, and while it isn't the nicest or most expensive yarn, it will stand up nicely to the use (and abuse) of an 8 year old boy.

I needed your mid-winter splash of color(S) dearie! Can't wait to see it on your creative self. Happy Monday!
Your skirt is gorgeous.
I really like the colours of this outfit. And the skirt is so beautifully made.
Great skirt! You're right about the color, what a wonderful way to pep up the cold of winter!
I'm looking forward to seeing the pic of you wearing this outfit. Both top and skirt are very pretty.
Great skirt, looks like the fabric is just right for the amount of drape it needs at the back. Love the colour too.
I love your scarf. Your skirt is such a nice pop of color. Colors have really been calling to me the past two weeks. Must be Spring calling.
Truly love the colors of the skirt and in the top.. great looking outfit, and I like the belt loops.
Very nice scarf.

I just adore the "flippiness" at the bottom. I think this shape is so flattering on, too. Great color for right now!
I like the belt loops, they add a bit of interest to the waist; even if you are rarely going to wear a belt, they're a nice feature.
Your skirt looks lovely. I really like those buttons - Snap, I have some just the same that I keep saving for the right project.
Very cute skirt! That is one of the skirts I liked in the issue also. Each time I see it finished, I think I need to go trace it!
This is a great skirt and I love your version. I look forward to the photos of you wearing it...
I love that skirt! The shape and the color.Very nice.
Very nice skirt! Sporty, but still dressy at the same time. The color is great!
I think that pattern would look great in several types of fabric.
Great shot of color! This skirt was on my to-sew list as well...
You are seriously making the most of your time...all the sewing for yourself and your family...the sewing for clients...and I know you have an art project cooking somewhere...AND you are knitting too! *shew* I'm tired just typing all of that! *LOL* Oh and I said all of that to tell you that I really like the scarf!
