Today has been one of those days in which I did a lot of sewing related stuff, but no actual sewing, at least not yet. The night is still young. So what did I do today?
- I organized all the stuff I got from my friend who is cleaning out her sewing/craft collection. I kept some of the stuff, but some of it will be used for costumes, some donated and some given away. As you can see from the scene below, there was a lot of stuff, and this wasn't all of it.
- I met with a client who loved the dress I made for a wedding she attended on Saturday and now wants a red dress for the holiday season and has brought more alterations. She described what she wanted and I came up with a style that I think will work.
- I started to drape and organize my ideas for a costume. We're starting to work on the more ornate costumes now, so I'm working on this one for the daughter of a wealthy man. She's getting a three layer drape at the shoulders that hangs down the back and a wide bejeweled belt so far. We'll add more jewelry to the costume and a headdress of some kind and I think it will be done. I should have this one done by Monday.
- The we did sewing related errands like shipping stuff at the post office and going to purchase more packing tape for shipping stuff.
Parting Shot: Helper. I'm not sure I needed this sort of help organizing the new stuff I got.
