Patrones #283, Model #18

Black Jeans, the Fancy Pants Completed

I present to you the fancy pants:

My son is so excited that these are done! He wants to wear them to school tomorrow, but he can't as they're a little too eye catching for singing in elementary choir on the platform. I told him just to wear them another day!

Here are just a few of the details of the waistband:

Jeans button and belt loops:

This pair of jeans has an adjustable waistband on the inside with buttonhole elastic, complete with buttonhole and button.

I did get my daughter's choir skirt done, too. It isn't anything exciting, just the good old TNT skirt pattern I always use for her.

Tomorrow I think I'll start a jacket muslin for myself for Vogue xxxx.

Parting Shot: New Project. Now that my socks are done and seem to be passing the wear-ability test today, I'm starting something new: a red cabled scarf. The yarn is Rialto by Debbie Bliss, a 100% superwash Merino wool, which can be machine washed. Perfect for winter outerwear accessories.

Wow, that's a lot of work to put into your son's pants. He does appear to appreciate it, though.

I always love the everyday clothes you make - they are anything but ordinary!

I've used Debbie Blis yarns quite a few times, and although the colours are great and the yarn is very soft - for the price there are an awful lot of knots. I hope you are not simlilarly afflicted! I haven't used Rialto, but I found knots in Cashmerino Aran and Cashmerino DK.

Very your colour of course!

Saw Bluebird coat in blog pics from Quilt Market, it was on display with some other garments and quilts near the market area!

Cheers,
AJ
