Fun With Dots is done, so here are the final photos, front, back and neckline:

Yes, I know there is something odd going on with the skirt. It is either hung up on the crinoline, or needs a good pressing or *something*. I will fix that before Saturday.I do have to explain about the hat. The hat that I got from eBay was the wrong color. It was too yellow for this outfit, so I've decided not to use it. It really is not anyone's fault, as it is hard to discern colors via computer monitors and other people descriptions. Here is the substitute hat - a red one I found at the local antique store!
I did buy another pair of white gloves today, too. I've got other pairs, but some of them are beige or a dingy white, not bright white. I'm pretty happy with these because the scallops match the scallops on the purse trim. I know, matchy-matchy, but I like those sorts of little details.
Well, I really like how it turned out! My daughter said I looked like one of the ladies on the pattern envelopes. My husband thinks it needs a necklace. I'm not sure. What do you think?Parting Shot: Vintage Lucite Shoes. I have been looking for a pair of these for a long, long time to wear with Bluebird of Happiness. They're not perfect, but they do have all their rhinestones and the pretty carving on the heel. They are not the fanciest pair I've ever seen, but I didn't pay that price tag, either (sometimes over $150 USD!). Finding them in my size is also a bit tricky, but these fit nicely!

You look fabulous! I love it! I vote no for the necklace though- I think it would fight with the buttons (here's the disclaimer- I'm no fashion wiz). I think the new shoes are great too. They're so pretty and dainty!
The whole outfit looks wonderful. The red hat looks great and ties in well with the shoes. As for a necklace - I see what he means as the neckline is low, but I still think it would detract from the collar.
You look fabulous! You were just made to wear vintage!
Beautiful! Pretty lady.
I think you can go with or without a necklace. Pearls would be nice.
I love this outfit! The hat is cute and I love your lucite shoes. I don't think you need a necklace, the neckline is interesting enought for me, although I think Cennetta is right, that pearls would look nice.
Fabulous! I would pass on the necklace also. The neckline is perfect as is. The hat is spot on and I just love it. Your accessory choices are just great. You were meant to live in the fifties, woman!
Lovely outfit its ditto what Erica B already said. Just a thought what about choosing a color lipstick which matches more with the red earings.
Not only is it a really cute dress, it's very flattering too! Necklace? Have you tried a pearl choker? I think maybe something simple....or nothing. I LOVE the BOH shoes!
Love the dress and all the accessories. You did a great job on all of this. And yes, I agree with your daughter, you DO look like one of the ladies on a pattern envelope!
Congrats on completing it. :)The purse from the other post is just adorable too. Love that the trim comes off.
The whole outfit is absolutely gorgeous!
Love the dress, you did a wonderful job. The entire look is just superb.
It's stunning Somerset! Love the accessories!
Oh wow! You look fantastic. You do look like the pattern envelope. Necklace?? I say NO. I think it would detract from your neck line.
What size buttons to you end with?
"Less is more" as the saying goes. I vote "no" on a necklace. There's enough going on with the dress and accessories. You look as if you could be going to an elegant lunch with Marlene Dietrich and Ann Southern! Love the lucite shoes!
Wow you look fantastic! Look at that teeny waist!!
Another vote here for no necklace. That neckline looks perfect as it is.
It looks fabulous! You look totally put together. I vote no to the necklace.
Dots sure came out pretty. And I love the lucite heels, reminds me of Cinderella's glass slippers - hey there is a theme for another project!
Wonderful dress. You look great!
Love the dress. In fact all of the so far. I just had to comment on the lucite heels. I have my Mama's. She wore them in the 50's and early 60's. My sister and I called them her Cinderella glass slippers. About a 6 or 6 1/2. I was never able to wear them. Mom wore the with her black taffeta and velveteen cocktail dress. If I ever get my camera up and running again, I would be happy to sent you a pic of the shoes. My sister has the dress. Unfortuneatly, neither one of us can wear it. lol.

the dress is gorgeous.
YOU look gorgeous!
definitely divine. *sigh*
so stylish and elegant!
one word: PERFECTION! ^-^
I love mostly the neckline on this one. It really is lovely and those different colored buttons make a statement.
Lovely outfit. You look great. I love the lucite shoes too.
I love the whole look - very ladylike and sophisticated!
The fit is just lovely, and so flattering. It looks fabulous!
You're definitely a pattern cover girl! What a fantastic garment. It's so much fun to see the final results of your projects!
Beautiful!! Both you and the dress. Thanks for sharing the process with us.
Beautiful, Summerset! I really like the hat, it fits the whole ensemble, the gloves are perfect, the purse, everything! Great job. Personally, I think that you have enough going on without adding a necklace, but your accessories that you make/choose are always very nice. I am curious to see what a red necklace would look like. . .kind of like the earrings? Not round pearl, but flat disks?

Necklace: a thin gold chain with drop pearl or cross or some kind of charm, something that wold give just a hint of filling in the neckline.
Beautiful in all the details. I can't see a difference in the color of the hat and lipstick, tho. The length of the skirt is especially right.
Oh, I LOVE it! And those shoes are totally to die for.
Wonderful job!
Stunning and flattering! Wow!!
Lovely!
I really like the collar, and the fit is fabulous. If I didn't know otherwise, I would assume you hadn't had any children (wink)! Some women have ALL the luck! I vote FOR a necklace.
As someone who remembers the ladies wearing this style the first time around (ahem), yes to the necklace — pearls are what you need to finish it off. Pearl earrings and necklace would be the final touch for this adorable vintage outfit. Excellent job!
I just love the collar with those buttons- so cute.
Wow, just gorgeous and suits you to a t! Love it.
Fabulous. Love how you wear this style. Very detailed outfit. Wear it with pleasure on Saturday.
Beautifulllllllllll
wonderful Summerset .- seems you out of a fashion magazine at the time. I like the adaptation of the bodice of the dress. Undoubtedly, Gusset is a good help.
Beautiful cards and very professional. Red, of course. greetings, Paco
Absolutely stunning! You look like you came straight out of a 50s movie! Marvelous!!
