Rabbit Report #8
The last of the three rabbit girls is now done! This one really isn't any different than Flopsy or Mopsy, but now you've seen the details for all three.
Here are the girl's dresses along with Mother rabbit's dress:

Next, paws, feet and heads!
Q/A: Regarding the fur, caseykoester asked if it shredded when I cut it. Actually it doesn't shred much at all. I was hoping for this considering the felt is a bit different than a knit backed faux fur. There will be bits of it around the studio and probably the house for that matter, but it won't be nearly as back as regular faux fur.
She also asked concerning buttonhole twist thread. This thread has been around for a long time and is manufactured specifically for making buttonholes by hand, sewing on buttons and crafts. I suppose you could use it in your machine, but it is thicker and stiffer than regular poly/cotton thread. I suspect that in my machine it would have to be run in the bobbin and that wouldn't work quite well for machine buttonholes. As far as my availability locally, I can only get it in a limited number of colors. The type I have is made by Coats & Clark (a few of my spools shown below), and is glace finished cotton covered polyester. You can also purchase this same type of thread made of silk, too, just google "buttonhole twist".
Parting Shot: Ribbon! I got BOH back yesterday from the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival and with it came the ribbon. It now hangs with my other ribbons.
