Hello, From Virginia!

We've stopped on our way to Georgia in Virginia for the weekend. We're staying at VickiW's house for the weekend.

The kids went fishing in her pond this morning and caught (and released) quite a few fish.

Later we tie dyed t-shirt and dyed socks. Here's VickiW and my son rinsing out all the dyed items.
Underwear tie dyes well, too! Think about it: it's 100% cotton and white, just like a t-shirt, so it should accept dye just like a t-shirt!

This afternoon I went vintage shopping Richmond and bought a stack of patterns (which I'll show you in the Parting Shots) and a black vintage purse. I've placed the camera lens cap in the picture so that you can see how big the purse is.

Parting Shot: Simplicity 4884. This is a circle skirt pattern that I like because of the birds and bird cage rather than the iconic poodle. The pattern still contains the transfers for the birds and cage, too. My (sometimes) dark sense of humor would be tempted to add a cat to the bottom, just for fun.

I love the cat idea. It's certianly no worse than the birdfeeder I saw shaped like a cat face with opne mouth.

Looks like fun. I saw the picture of your lemon dress on the linked blog. You need to post that here, it's way too cute.

I like the dyed underwear! I also like the idea of the cat/bird design...fashion should be fun, as well as functional
