The Red Trench - Part Nine

By Request, The Lining

Thank you all for the compliments on my trench coat. With today's snowstorm, it is official that I won't be wearing it soon, but it will be a bright spot next spring when I need a lighter coat to brighten up the grey days before the leaves reappear.

Quite a few of you asked about the lining, so I thought I'd give you a few photos of that. Below you can see the front, a close up of the front, and then the back with the back neck facing and pleat for wearing ease.

Parting Shots: Snow Day! I'm not sure how much snow we got, but I'm guessing 8 to 10"? I'm really not sure, as we're still supposed to get another 1 -2 " tonight. The children took a few pictures today from inside. The first one was taken by my son, and the second by my daughter.

As beautiful on the inside as on the outside. Did you need to underline to hide the show through?

Beautiful snow pictures. I actually got goose bumps looking at them! It looks so peaceful and quite.

Ack! Yes, I forgot to mention about the underlining! Yes, I did have to underline and had to retro-fit it because most of the major construction was done. I also forgot to show that the cape is lined in the print, too. Thanks for reminding me, Vicki!

Thanks for showing pics of the lining! The inside of the jacket is as amazing as the outside! And I wish our snow/sleet/rain combination had left us with 8-10" of snow...I could have used a snow day today! :)

The lining looks wonderful! I was going to ask about the underlining but I see you've already answered to that question!
We rarely have snow where I live... I love snow and I usually take a week vacation in the mountains (in Spain) in January or February just to be able to enjoy the snow and the winter sports!
