is mine! Look what he got me for my birthday from eBay:
I don't have it yet, but it is on the way! The crossover/shirred bust detail is really fantastic! The pattern present came about because he wanted some gift ideas for my birthday. Rather than suggesting the usual suspects of flowers, jewelry, etc. , I sent him a list of vintage gown pattern auctions on eBay and asked him to win one for me. Since these gown patterns typically sell for more than a regular vintage pattern would, I thought it would be a good present. This is one that he won. This was in addition to the flowers and earrings (I'll show you those tomorrow) he bought me!
Thank you for all the birthday wishes! Tomorrow, I'll show you my new skirt, BWOF #115, 7/07. For now, I'll let you guess what fabric pattern I made it in!
Parting Shot: Kiwi is now out and about the house! Today I found her on a dining room chair, "hiding" (napping) beneath the tablecloth.

Yes, that's a great husband. Mine even took me to Target today and helped me find a couple of bras that I could wear while I heal. He actually REALLY helped me look through ugly sport bras! Gotta keep him.
Kiwi is adorable!
Stripes? I don't have that Burda yet and the line drawings on Burdamode don't show the back...so I'll just have to wait and see.
And yes, you do have the bestest ever husband (but don't show him this..lol)
I was given a huge box of vintage patterns that are size 12. I saw that your new pattern is a 12. I was going to mention it earlier but you are so tiny I assumed they would not work. Would you like some of them? I love your blog so this would be a thank you gift for all your work. I am not sure how to email you so I am not sure how this would work. Let me know what you think

Congratulations for your birthday (a bit late). Great husband, and great pattern he won for you. Reminds me of the V&A site Ann already mentioned. Will be a great evening dress (are you going to make it, or just collecting?)
what a fabulous gift and how sweet of your DH! Now you must sew that gorgeous dress and offer him a dinner out, while wearing the dress!
Yeah, that's a very sweet husband!
I wondered if it would be possibel for a couple of my GCSE students to email you to ask some advice about the garments they are going to make this year> If so could yu email me your email addres. My email is caroltinataylor@yahoo.co.uk
Thanks for your time and if this is too much of an impossision please do not hesitate to say no. Thanks so much carol taylor
A very happy belated birthday!!!! What a thoughtful gift. I can't wait to see what you make with it!
Missed it: Happy Birthday!!!
Shorty - Yes, I'd love some patterns - I generally wear a 12 in vintage or a bust 32, even though I'm technically a bust 34. Because I'm petite I find that the neck/shoulders fit me best in the 32 and usually still have plenty of room in the bust. I'd be more than happy to pay for the shipping! My e-mail is: sbanks@metrocast.net.
Best wishes on your birthday. It sounds like it was lovely.
Kiwi is adorable! What beautiful markings!
Oh, I can't believe I missed your birthday because I was away for work. Happy belated birthday, Summerset. I'm so sorry I missed it!
Your husband is wonderful - that is a wonderful, thoughtful gift.
Glad to see kitty is out and about.
Have a very lovely birthday weekend. Please forgive me for missing your special day.
Late Birthday wishes! What a beautiful pattern!
