(Keep reading for the chainlink top)
My daughter and I will be modeling some of my art garments in the MQX (Machine Quilter's Expo) Fashion Show tonight in Manchester, NH! This is their first year having a wearable arts division and a fashion show - so I hope the opening show really is great. One of my good quilting friends is personal friends with the show's founders and organizers, so I really would like to see them have a fantastic show.
Here's the makeup and jewelry ready to go for the show:
Today I actually realized that I didn't have jewelry for Waiting For Spring! So, while I was out I picked up some extra beads and made some earrings this afternoon. Here's a quick photo essay courtesy of my children:

Here's the chainlink fabric top I promised yesterday (and the day before!) made from Simplicity 4076:
It's made from fabric from Ann's online fabric store; I was actually able to get two yards before it was out of stock again. I'm also going to make this dress from Burda WOF April 2007, when I get a chance. It's been traced and the fabric is cut, it's just that today I won't be able to work on it.
Parting Shot: You know, I was going to do another snow shot, but I just can't bring myself to do it. This is ridiculous, it's snowing like Antarctica out there and it's the middle of April. Instead, I bring you my daughter with her candy bar. We get a special treat to share when we do fashion shows, and chocolate is the treat of choice.
Tomorrow is a school day, but tomorrow night I think I'll either work on my own dress or work on the wedding dress, or maybe even Diamonds!

Love the top, and the earrings, and the chocolate! Have a great time together. My daughter and I have done this type of thing together too and it's a nice girls' outing.

p.s. It WILL eventually warm up. right?
I love that top in that fabric!
